Description:
The Anti-Pax7 antibody was designed, produced, and validated as part of the Joy Cappel Young Investigator Award (JCYIA). Paired box protein Pax-7 transcription factor plays a role in myogenesis through regulation of muscle precursor cells proliferation. These genes play critical roles during fetal development and cancer growth. It is expressed specifically during the development of the nervous and muscular system. Anti-Pax7 antibody is ideal for researchers interested in developmental biology, stem cell research, cell growth and cancer research.

Description:
T-Cell Surface Glycoprotein CD3 epsilon Chain (CD3 epsilon ) is a single-pass type I membrane protein. CD3 epsilon contains 1 Ig-like (immunoglobulin-like) domain and 1 ITAM domain. CD3 epsilon is a polypeptide encoded by the CD3E gene on chromosome 11 in humans. The T cell receptor-CD3 complex (TCR/CD3 complex) is involved in T-cell development and several intracellular signal-transduction pathways. This complex is critical for T-cell development and function, and represents one of the most complex transmembrane receptors. The T cell receptor-CD3 complex is unique in having ten cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motifs (ITAMs). TCR/CD3 complex plays an important role in coupling antigen recognition to several intracellular signal-transduction pathways.

Description:
DHRSX (dehydrogenase/reductase SDR family member on chromosome X) is a 330 amino acid protein belonging to the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family. Widely expressed, DHRSX is an oxidoreductase that contains a coenzyme binding site and a substrate binding site, indicating a possible role in cellular metabolism. The gene that encodes DHRSX is located in the pseudoautosomal region 1 (PAR1) of X and Y chromosomes. The X and Y chromosomes are the human sex chromosomes. Chromosome X consists of about 153 million base pairs and nearly 1,000 genes. The combination of a X and Y chromosome lead to normal male development while two copies of X lead to normal female development. There are a number of conditions related to an unusual number and combination of sex chromosomes being inherited, including Turner's syndrome, Klinefelter's syndrome and Triple X syndrome. Color blindness, hemophilia, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy are well known X chromosome-linked conditions which affect males more frequently as males carry a single X chromosome.

Description:
Neuritin Antibody: As the nervous system of a complex organism develops, it establishes functional networks through the growth and retraction of synaptic connections from growing axons and dendrites. This synaptic remodeling involves neuro-transmitter signaling, activation of neurotrophin receptors and alterations in gene expression. One such gene whose expression is increased by neural activity is neuritin, a GPI-anchored protein that is expressed in postmitotic differentiating neurons of the developing nervous system. Its expression is also induced by the neurotrophins BDNF and NT-3. Purified recombinant neuritin promotes neurite outgrowth and arborization in primary embryonic neuronal cultures, suggesting that neuritin may play a role as a downstream effector of activity-induced neurite outgrowth. More recent experiments have shown that neuritin is required for the androgen-induced axonal elongation in motor neurons and is upregulated following spinal cord injury, suggesting that neuritin may also play a role in survival and axonal regeneration.

Description:
Transcriptional repressor. Binds specifically to the DNA sequence 5'-GACTNGACT-3'. Has tumor suppressor activity. May play a role in control of cell proliferation and/or neural cell development. Regulates proliferation of early T progenitor cells by maintaining expression of HES1. Also plays a role in antero-posterior specification of the axial skeleton and negative regulation of the self-renewal activity of hematopoietic stem cells. Component of a Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, a complex class required to maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development. PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatin remodeling and modification of histones; it mediates monoubiquitination of histone H2A 'Lys-119', rendering chromatin heritably changed in its expressibility. Is not functionally redundant with BMI1; unlike BMI1 does not stimulate the E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase activity in a reconstituted PRC1-like complex (By similarity).
