Description:
FATE1 ,also named as Fetal and adult testis expressed transcript protein, express predominantly in testis, with some expression in lung, heart, kidney, adrenal gland and whole brain. FATE might represent a novel target gene of SF-1 in testicular differentiation and germ cell development. FATE1 lalso involves in the regulation of a wide variety of cellular processes ,including the cell cycle, immune responses, signaling cascades and developmental events through target proteins, such as cyclins, cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors.

Description:
This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, feline, mouse, porcine and zebrafish based on sequence homology. This gene encodes a member of the forkhead/winged-helix family of transcription factors. It is expressed in fetal and adult brain as well as in several other organs such as the lung and gut. The protein product contains a FOX DNA-binding domain and a large polyglutamine tract and is an evolutionarily conserved transcription factor, which may bind directly to approximately 300 to 400 gene promoters in the human genome to regulate the expression of a variety of genes. This gene is required for proper development of speech and language regions of the brain during embryogenesis, and may be involved in a variety of biological pathways and cascades that may ultimately influence language development. Mutations in this gene cause speech-language disorder 1 , also known as autosomal dominant speech and language disorder with orofacial dyspraxia. Multiple alternative transcripts encoding different isoforms have been identified in this gene.

Description:
During development, promotes the survival and differentiation of selected neuronal populations of the peripheral and central nervous systems. Participates in axonal growth, pathfinding and in the modulation of dendritic growth and morphology. Major regulator of synaptic transmission and plasticity at adult synapses in many regions of the CNS. The versatility of BDNF is emphasized by its contribution to a range of adaptive neuronal responses including long-term potentiation (LTP), long-term depression (LTD), certain forms of short-term synaptic plasticity, as well as homeostatic regulation of intrinsic neuronal excitability.

Description:
Fibrinogen-like 1 is a member of the fibrinogen family. This protein is homologous to the carboxy terminus of the fibrinogen beta- and gamma- subunits which contains the four conserved cysteines of fibrinogens and fibrinogen related proteins. However, this protein lacks the platelet-binding site, cross-linking region and a thrombin-sensitive site which are necessary for fibrin clot formation. This protein may play a role in the development of hepatocellular carcinomas. Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein exist for this gene. Description:
Siglec 7 is a member of the Siglec (sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin like lectin) subgroup of the immunoglobulin superfamily. Siglec 7 is able to mediate high levels of sialic acid-dependent binding to human erythrocytes and soluble sialoglycoconjugates. Addition of anti-Siglec 7 to haematopoietic cell cultures leads to reduced cell growth and prevents the development of dendritic cells. Predominantly expressed by resting and activated natural killer cells and at lower levels by granulocytes and monocytes. High expression can be found in tissues like the placenta, liver, lung, spleen, and peripheral blood leukocytes.

Description:
LEFTY2 is a member of the TGF-beta family of proteins. LEFTY2 is secreted and plays a role in left-right asymmetry determination of organ systems during development and may also play a role in endometrial bleeding. Mutations in this gene have been associated with left-right axis malformations, particularly in the heart and lungs. Some types of infertility have been associated with dysregulated expression of this gene in the endometrium. Alternative processing of this protein can yield three different products. This gene is closely linked to both a related family member and a related pseudogene.

Description:
Secretin belongs to the glucagon family. This protein is an endocrine hormone and its major site of production is the endocrine S cells located in the proximal small intestinal mucosa. The release of active secretin is stimulated by either fatty acids or an acidic pH in the duodenum. This hormone stimulates the secretion of bicarbonate-rich pancreatic fluids and has also been shown to regulate the growth and development of the stomach, small intestine, and pancreas. Secretin deficiency has been implicated in autistic syndrome, suggesting that the hormone could have a neuroendocrine function in addition to its role in digestion.

Description:
The two G protein-coupled receptors GPR7 and GPR8 display high similarity to each other. They both show high expression in brain and in particular in hypothalamus, and have been characterized as receptors for neuropeptide W (NPW) and neuropeptide B (NPB). In response to NPW and NPB, they play a role in the regulation of feeding behavior. GPR7 deficient mice develop an adult-onset obese phenotype that progressively worsens with age and is exacerbated when fed a high-fat diet. The genes encoding human GPR7 and GPR8 map to chromosomes 10q11.2-q21.1 and 10q13.3, respectively.
