Description:
SIPA1L1 Antibody: Signal-induced proliferation associated-like protein 1 (SIPA1L1) is a member of the SIPA1 family of RapGAPs. SIPA1L1 was initially identified as a binding partner and degradation target of the E6 oncoprotein of high-risk papillomaviruses. Recently, it was discovered that Casein kinase I epsilon (CKIe), a Wnt-regulated kinase that regulates Wnt/b-catenin signaling, also can bind to the carboxy-terminus of SIPA1L1. CKIe phosphorylates SIPA1L1, thereby reducing its stability and alleviating its inhibition of Rap1, a protein required for Wnt8/CKIe-mediated gastrulation during embryogenesis, suggesting SIPA1L1 plays important roles in embryo development as well as control of cell proliferation.

Description:
Ubiquitin-dependent proteolysis mediates selective destruction of various cell cycle regulators, transcription factors and tumor suppressors. In eukaryotic cells, selective breakdown of cellular proteins is ensured by their ubiquitination and subsequent degradation by the 26S proteasome. At specific stages of development, embryo- and tissue-specific components of the 26S proteasome form, facilitating proteolysis. 20S Proteasome ?, also designated macropain subunit C2 or PROS-30, is a prosomal protein involved in a non-lysosomal ATP/ubiquitin-dependent proteolytic pathway. The entire proteasome is composed of at least 15 non-identical subunits which form a highly-ordered ring-shaped structure.

Description:
DR3 Antibody: Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, occurs during normal cellular differentiation and development of multicellular organisms. Apoptosis is induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas ligand of the TNF family through their death domain containing receptors, TNFR1 and Fas. A novel cell death receptor was recently identified by several groups independently and designated DR3, Wsl-1, Apo-3, TRAMP and LARD1-5. The ligand for this novel death receptor has been defined as TWEAK, also termed Apo3L. DR3 is highly expressed in the tissues enriched in lymphocytes including PBL, thymus and spleen. Like TNFR1, DR3 induces apoptosis and NF-kappa B activation.

Description:
This gene is a member of the Src family of protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs). The encoded protein is a key signaling molecule in the selection and maturation of developing T-cells. It contains N-terminal sites for myristylation and palmitylation, a PTK domain, and SH2 and SH3 domains which are involved in mediating protein-protein interactions with phosphotyrosine-containing and proline-rich motifs, respectively. The protein localizes to the plasma membrane and pericentrosomal vesicles, and binds to cell surface receptors, including CD4 and CD8, and other signaling molecules. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Description:
Nuclear receptor and transcription factor; plays a role in development and maintenance of neurons synthesizing the neurotransmitter dopamine This gene encodes a member of the steroid-thyroid hormone-retinoid receptor superfamily. The encoded protein may act as a transcription factor. Mutations in this gene have been associated with disorders related to dopaminergic dysfunction, including Parkinson disease, schizophernia, and manic depression. Misregulation of this gene may be associated with rheumatoid arthritis. Four transcript variants encoding four distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. Additional alternate splice variants may exist, but their full length nature has not been determined.

Description:
The GK1.5 monoclonal antibody specifically binds with the mouse CD4 molecule, also known as L3T4, a 55 kDa differentiation antigen which binds to the MHC class II. CD4 is expressed on most thymocytes, a subpopulation of mature T lymphocytes, dendritic cells, pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells, B cell precursors, and lymphoid precursors inside the thymus. It is also expressed on the mouse egg cell membrane, enhancing adhesion to MHC class II bearing sperm. By interaction with MHC class II on the surface of APC, CD4 initiates the development of T lymphocytes and helps the optimum functioning of mature T lymphocytes. The binding of the GK1.5 antibody blocks the binding of the Anti-Mouse CD4 RM4-5 antibody.

Description:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. This encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein that is known to complex with integrins and other transmembrane 4 superfamily proteins. It is involved in cellular processes including cell adhesion and may regulate integrin trafficking and/or function. This protein enhances cell motility, invasion and metastasis of cancer cells. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode the same protein have been described for this gene.

EMILIN1, also named as EMILIN, EMILIN-1, gp115 and EMI, may be responsible for anchoring smooth muscle cells to elastic fibers, and may be involved not only in the formation of the elastic fiber, but also in the processes that regulate vessel assembly. It has cell adhesive capacity. EMILIN1 is a negative regulator of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) signaling, which is involved in blood pressure (BP) homeostasis . EMILIN1 may play a key role in hypertensive vascular remodeling. TGFβ proteins are the main regulators of blood vessel development and maintenance, and EMILIN1 inhibits TGFβ signaling by binding specifically to the proTGFβ precursor and preventing its maturation by furin convertases in the extracellular space .

Crystallins are water soluble structural proteins found in the vertebrate eye. Mammalian crystallins are classified in three forms, designated α, β and γ. Crystallins, as the principal components of the lens, function to increase the refractive index of the eye during accommodation by forming high-molecular weight aggregates which maintain transparency. γS-crystallin (Gamma-crystallin S), also known as Beta-crystallin S, is a 178 amino acid protein that exists as a monomer which does not aggregate. γS-crystallin contains a two-domain beta structure and belongs to the beta/gamma-crystallin gene family mapping to human chromosome 3. γS-crystallin has been linked to congenital cataract development, a disorder signified by increasing levels of lens opacity.

Description:
CPEB1 Antibody: CPEB1 is an RNA binding protein that contains an RNA-recognition motif and a zinc finger-containing region found in a wide range of vertebrates and invertebrates. CPEB1 forms the nucleus of a complex of factors that regulate poly(A) elongation and promotes polyadenylation-induced translation. CPEB1 mediates many diverse biological processes such as germ cell development, cell division and senescence, and synaptic plasticity. Recently, it was discovered that CPEB1 is involved in beta-catenin mRNA translation and cell migration in astrocytes as well as regulating hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1 expression, demonstrating the wide range of processes in which CPEB1 plays a role. At least four isoforms of CPEB1 are known to exist.
