The GK1.5 monoclonal antibody specifically binds with the mouse CD4 molecule, also known as L3T4, a 55 kDa differentiation antigen which binds to the MHC class II. CD4 is expressed on most thymocytes, a subpopulation of mature T lymphocytes, dendritic cells, pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells, B cell precursors, and lymphoid precursors inside the thymus. It is also expressed on the mouse egg cell membrane, enhancing adhesion to MHC class II bearing sperm. By interaction with MHC class II on the surface of APC, CD4 initiates the development of T lymphocytes and helps the optimum functioning of mature T lymphocytes. The binding of the GK1.5 antibody blocks the binding of the Anti-Mouse CD4 RM4-5 antibody.

Bid Antibody: Apoptosis plays a major role in normal organism development, tissue homeostasis, and removal of damaged cells. Disruption of this process has been implicated in a variety of diseases such as cancer. The Bcl-2 family of proteins is comprised of critical regulators of apoptosis that can be divided into two classes: those that inhibit apoptosis and those that promote cell death. Bid, a pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family member, is cleaved by caspase-8 in response to apoptotic signals, exposing the Bcl-2 homology 3 (BH3) domain which is normally buried in the full-length protein. The cleaved complex is myris-toylated and translocated to the mitochondrial membrane where it may induce mitochondrial Bax and Bak to oligomerize.

CESK1, also known as CCT8L2 (chaperonin containing TCP1, subunit 8 theta-like 2), is a 557 amino acid protein that localizes to the cytoplasm and is thought to function as a molecular chaperone, possibly assisting protein folding after ATP hydrolysis. CESK1 belongs to the TCP-1 chaperonin family and is encoded by a gene which maps to human chromosome 22. Mutations in several of the genes that map to chromosome 22 are involved in the development of Phelan-McDermid syndrome, neurofibromatosis type 2, autism and schizophrenia. Additionally, translocations between chromosomes 9 and 22 may lead to the formation of the Philadelphia chromosome and the subsequent production of the novel fusion protein Bcr-Abl, a potent cell proliferation activator found in several types of leukemias.

Osteoprotegerin (OPG) is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. This protein is an osteoblast-secreted decoy receptor that functions as a negative regulator of bone resorption. This protein specifically binds to its ligand, osteoprotegerin ligand (TNFSF11/OPGL), both of which are key extracellular regulators of osteoclast development. Studies of the mouse counterpart also suggest this protein and its ligand play a role in lymph-node organogenesis and vascular calcification. Alternatively spliced transcript variants of the gene have been reported, but their full length nature has not been determined.

TSLPR is a type I membrane receptor that forms a functional heterodimeric complex with IL7R to bind TSLP. The TSLP R contains a WSXWS motif required for proper protein folding and a box1 motif important for association with the JAKs. TSLPR has a predicted molecular weight approximately 41 kD, and two further isoforms have been reported that are produced by alternative splicing. The TSLPR is expressed preferentially in myeloid cells including dendritic cells and activated monocytes, and is weakly expressed in T cells. Expression has also been reported in heart, skeletal muscle, and kidney tissues. TSLP binding to the heterodimeric functional receptor (TSLPR and IL7R) activates JAK2, STAT3 and STAT5 to stimulate cell proliferation. Ligand receptor interactions haves been implicated in the development of the hematopoietic system, dendritic cell maturation, and the maintenance and polarization of human Th2 memory T cells in allergic diseases.
