SHARPIN is a 387 amino acid protein that localizes to the cytoplasm and contains one RanBP2-type zinc finger. Expressed at high levels in placenta and skeletal muscle and present at lower levels in colon, brain, heart, liver, kidney, lung, thymus and small intestine, SHARPIN interacts with Shank 1 and is thought to play a role in the control of inflammatory responses and in the overall development of the immune system. SHARPIN exists as three alternatively spliced isoforms and shares 73% sequence identity with its mouse counterpart, suggesting a conserved role between species. The gene encoding SHARPIN maps to human chromosome 8, which consists of nearly 146 million base pairs, houses more than 800 genes and is associated with a variety of diseases and malignancies.

Akirin2 Antibody: The highly conserved, nuclear-localized Akirin1 and Akirin2 proteins critically regulate the transcription of NF-kappa B-dependent genes and are required for defense against Gram-negative bacteria in the immune deficiency and NF-kappa B pathways. Akirin1 is dispensable in the mouse, and neither knockout mice nor cells derived from them have obvious distinctive phenotypes. The UCHT1 antibody is specific for human CD3e, also known as CD3 epsilon, a 20 kDa subunit of the T cell receptor complex, along with CD3 gamma and CD3 delta. These integral membrane protein chains assemble with additional chains of the T cell receptor (TCR), as well as CD3 zeta chain, to form the T cell receptor – CD3 complex. Together with co-receptors CD4 or CD8, the complex serves to recognize antigens bound to MHC molecules on antigen-presenting cells. These interactions promote T cell receptor signaling (T cell activation), inducing cell proliferation, differentiation, production of cytokines or activation-induced cell death.
