Description:
The RM4-5 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD4, also known as L3T4, a 55 kDa differentiation antigen expressed by the majority of thymocytes, subpopulations of mature T cells (like major histocompatibility complex class II-restricted T lymphocytes), a subset of natural killer T cells, and on pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells. CD4 binds to the major histocompatibility complex class II (MHC class II) and enhances T lymphocyte development and mature T cells functions. In T lymphocytes, CD4 binds to the cytoplasmic tail of enzyme tyrosine kinase (p56lck).Binding of RM4-5 is blocked by the anti-mouse CD4 clone GK1.5.BG Violet 450 conjugate is an alternative to the Pacific Blue, eFluor 450, or BD Horizon V450 dyes. It is excited by the violet (405 nm) laser, with a peak emission of 450nm.

Making up nearly 6% of the human genome, chromosome 6 contains around 1,200 genes within 170 million base pairs of sequence. Deletion of a portion of the q arm of chromosome 6 is associated with early onset intestinal cancer, suggesting the presence of a cancer susceptibility locus. Porphyria cutanea tarda is associated with chromosome 6 through the HFE gene which, when mutated, predisposes an individual to developing this porphyria. Notably, the PARK2 gene, which is associated with Parkinson's disease, and the genes encoding the major histocompatiblity complex proteins, which are key molecular components of the immune system and determine predisposition to rheumatic diseases, are also located on chromosome 6. Stickler syndrome, 21-hydroxylase deficiency and maple syrup urine disease are also associated with genes on chromosome 6. A bipolar disorder susceptibility locus has been identified on the q arm of chromosome 6.

Human beta -Nerve Growth Factor ( beta -NGF) was initially isolated in the mouse submandibular gland. It is composed of three non-covalently linked subunits alpha, beta , and gamma ; it exhibits all the biological activities ascribed to NGF. It is structurally related to BDNF, NT-3 and NT-4 and belongs to the cysteine-knot family of growth factors that assume stable dimeric structures. beta -NGF is a neurotrophic factor that signals through its receptor beta -NGF, and plays a crucial role in the development and preservation of the sensory and sympathetic nervous systems. beta -NGF also acts as a growth and differentiation factor for B lymphocytes and enhances B-cell survival. These results suggest that beta -NGF is a pleiotropic cytokine, which in addition to its neurotropic activities may have an important role in the regulation of the immune system. Human beta -NGF shares 90% sequence similarity with mouse protein and shows cross-species reactivity.

Translocation of portions of chromosome 8 with amplifications of the c-Myc gene are found in some leukemias and lymphomas, and typically associated with a poor prognosis. Portions of chromosome 8 have been linked to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Trisomy 8, also known as Warkany syndrome 2, most often results in early miscarriage but is occasionally seen in a mosaic form in surviving patients who suffer to a varying degree from a number of symptoms including retarded mental and motor development, and certain facial and developmental defects. WRN is a DNA helicase encoded by chromosome 8 and shown defective in those with the early aging disorder Werner syndrome. Chromosome 8 is also associated with Pfeiffer syndrome, congenital hypothyroidism and Waardenburg syndrome. The FAM135B gene product has been provisionally designated FAM135B pending further characterization.

XEDAR Antibody: X-linked ectodysplasin-A2 receptor (XEDAR) is a recently isolated member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor family that is highly expressed during embryonic development and binds to ectodysplatin-A2 (EDA-A2). Two predominantly expressed isoforms, XEDAR-s and XEDAR-L, differ by only a 21-amino region at the juxtamembrane region of the cytoplasmic domain. Neither isoform possesses a death domain and both have been shown to act mainly through TRAF3 and TRAF6 to activate the NF-kappa B and JNK pathways. Cells transfected with XEDAR and treated with EDA-A2 cause the assembly of a secondary complex containing FADD, caspase-8 and caspase-10, leading to the activation caspase-8 and caspase-3, and finally apoptosis. The EDA-A2-induced apoptosis is dependent on caspase-9 activation, as various pharmacological and genetic inhibitors of caspase-8 blocked apoptosis following EDA-A2 treatment.

CD8+ alpha beta T lymphocytes express both CD8 alpha alpha and CD8 alpha beta, while some T lymphocytes and the natural killer cells express only the homodimers. Low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein (also known as low density LRP, LRP1, alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor or Apolipoprotein E receptor) is an endocytotic receptor that is involved both in endocytosis and in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells. C9orf96, also known as Protein kinase-like protein SgK071, is a 680 amino acid protein that belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family of the protein kinase superfamily. There are three isoforms of C9orf96 that are produced as a result of alternative splicing events. The gene encoding C9orf96 maps to human chromosome 9, which consists of about 145 million bases and 4% of the human genome and encodes nearly 900 genes. Considered to play a role in gender determination, deletion of the distal portion of 9p can lead to development of male to female sex reversal, the phenotype of a female with a male X,Y genotype. Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, which is characterized by harmful vascular defects, is associated with the chromosome 9 gene encoding endoglin protein, ENG. Familial dysautonomia is also associated with chromosome 9 though through the gene IKBKAP. Notably, chromosome 9 encompasses the largest interferon family gene cluster. Chromosome 9 is partnered with chromosome 22 in the translocation leading to the aberrant production of BCR-ABL fusion protein often found in leukemias.
