Description:
ASH2L is a component of the Set1/Ash2 histone methyltransferase (HMT) complex, a complex that specifically methylates 'Lys-4' of histone H3, but not if the neighboring 'Lys-9' residue is already methylated. The protein may function as a transcriptional regulator and play a role in hematopoiesis.

Description:
The t (16;21) (q24;q22) translocation is a rare but recurrent chromosomal abnormality associated with therapy-related myeloid malignancies. The translocation produces a chimeric gene made up of the 5'-region of the AML1 gene fused to the 3'-region of CBFA2T3. In addition, CBFA2T3 is a putative breast tumor suppressor.

Description:
CPEB2 is highly similar to cytoplasmic polyadenylation element binding protein (CPEB), an mRNA-binding protein that regulates cytoplasmic polyadenylation of mRNA as a trans factor in oogenesis and spermatogenesis. Studies of the similar gene in mice suggested a possible role of this protein in transcriptionally inactive haploid spermatids.

Description:
Related to nucleologenesis, NOLC1 may play a role in the maintenance of the fundamental structure of the fibrillar center and dense fibrillar component in the nucleolus. It has intrinsic GTPase and ATPase activities. NOLC1 may play an important role in transcription catalyzed by RNA polymerase I.

Description:
The RA3-6B2 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with a 220 kDa exon A-restricted epitope on the extracellular domain of mouse CD45 glycoprotein. CD45R/B220 is expressed on all the development stages of B cells, and at a low level on plasma cells and a subset of memory B cells. Low levels of CD45R/B220 are also expressed by some activated T lymphocytes, natural killer cell progenitors in the bone marrow, lymphokine activated killer cells (LAK), T lymphocytes of lpr/lpr mutant mouse, apoptotic T cells of mice injected with bacterial superantigens, and macrophage progenitors in fetal liver. The CD45 molecule is a member of the Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase (PTP) family, because its intracellular region contains two PTP domains. The extracellular region’s variability is caused by different levels of glycosylation, and the splicing of the 4, 5, and 6 exons. The isoforms found in the mouse strains depend on the activation state, maturation stage and cell type, and are very important in B and T lymphocytes antigen receptor signal transduction. The RA3-6B2 antibody inhibits in vivo B lymphocytes responses and enhances isotype switching during in vitro B lymphocyte responses.

Description:
This antibody recognizes proteins of 80-200 kDa, identified as different members of CEA family. CEA is synthesized during development in the fetal gut and is re-expressed in increased amounts in intestinal carcinomas and several other tumors. This MAb does not react with nonspecific cross-reacting antigen (NCA) and with human polymorphonuclear leucocytes. It shows no reaction with a variety of normal tissues and is suitable for staining of formalin/paraffin tissues. CEA is not found in benign glands, stroma, or malignant prostatic cells. Antibody to CEA is useful in detecting early foci of gastric carcinoma and in distinguishing pulmonary adenocarcinomas (60-70% are CEA positive) from pleural mesotheliomas (rarely or weakly CEA positive) . Anti-CEA positivity is seen in adenocarcinomas from the lung, colon, stomach, esophagus, pancreas, gallbadder, urachus, salivary gland, ovary, and endocervix.
CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®594 is a deep red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 593/614 nm). It yields the brightest conjugates among spectrally similar dyes, and has excellent photostability.

Description:
MEF-2 is expressed early in the differentiation program and is suppressed by specific polypeptide growth factors. The ability of MEF-2 to recognize conserved activating elements associated with multiple-specific genes suggests that this factor may participate in the coordinate regulation of genes during myogenesis.

Description:
CACNA2D1 encodes a member of the alpha-2/delta subunit family, a protein in the voltage-dependent calcium channel complex. Calcium channels mediate the influx of calcium ions into the cell upon membrane polarization and consist of a complex of alpha-1, alpha-2/delta, beta, and gamma subunits in a 1:1:1:1 ratio.

Description:
Histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2), or transcriptional regulator homolog RPD3 L1, is highly homologous to the yeast transcription factor RPD3 (reduced potassium dependency 3) gene. As in yeast, human HDA2 is likely to be involved in regulating chromatin structure during transcription. It has been implicated to associate with YY1, a mammalian zinc-finger transcription factor, which negatively regulates transcription by tethering RPD3 to DNA as a cofactor. This process is highly concerved from yeast to human.
