Description:
FOXA1 Antibody: FOXA1 is one of three members of the FOXA family, a subset of the forkhead family of transcription factors which play vital roles in development. It has also been implicated in the development of a number of other organs including the androgen and estrogen regulated tissues of the breast and prostate. FOXA1 modulates the transcriptional activity of nuclear hormone receptors and regulates apoptosis by inhibiting the expression of BCL-2. It is an essential protein for the transcriptional activity of both androgen receptor (AR) and estrogen receptor-beta (ER). FOXA1 plays a pivotal role from early stage cancer through to drug resistant and metastatic disease. FOXA1 is not only an attractive therapeutic target but could potentially function as a novel biomarker.

Description:
PTK7 Antibody: Protein-tyrosine kinases (PTKs) play important roles in regulating cell proliferation and differentiation during development. One member of the PTK family, PTK7, has been suggested to regulate the planar cell polarity (PCP) pathway in vertebrates and may play a role in neural convergent extension and neural tube closure. PTK7 has also been implicated in the development of cancer. Loss of PTK7 expression was seen in several melanoma cell lines and biopsies. Conversely, high-throughput analysis of acute myeloid leukemia samples showed an increased level of PTK7 expression compared to normal bone marrow and purified CD34+ cells. Multiple isoforms of PTK7 are known to exist.

Description:
Contactin 2 is a neuronal cell adhesion molecule (CAM) that influences the formation of axon connections in the developing nervous system. Contactin 2 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF) and contains a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor, six immunogobulin (Ig)-like and four Fibronectin type III (FNIII)-like domains. Contactin 2 is expressed predominantly during neural development on the cell membrane of axons in nerve fiber tracts in order to guide commissural axons without promoting their growth. Contactin 2 binds with NgCAM in the plane of the same membrane (cis-binding). The Contactin 2 heterophilic (Contactin 2/NgCAM and Contactin 2/NrCAM) binding sites are localized to the first four Ig domains. The Contactin 2 homophilic (Contactin 2/Contactin 2) binding site is localized to the FNIII domain.

Description:
SEMA6A belongs to a subfamily characterized by an extracellular semaphorin domain, a transmembrane domain, and a long cytoplasmic tail. Members of this class can repel sympathetic and dorsal root ganglion axons in vitro, consistent with a traditional role as guidance signals. However, the length of the cytoplasmic tail, which includes an EVL-binding site in SEMA6A and an Src-binding site in SEMA6B, suggests that these semaphorins may also function as receptors. SEMA6A is expressed in developing neural tissue and is required for proper development of the thalamocortical projection. SEMA6A directly links the Ena/VASP and the semaphorin protein families since the SEMA6A protein is capable of selective binding to the protein EVL (Ena/VASP-like protein.

Description:
GM-CSF is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates the development of neutrophils and macrophages and promotes the proliferation and development of early erythroid megakaryocytic and eosinophilic progenitor cells. It is produced in by endothelial cells, monocytes, fibroblasts and T-lymphocytes. GM-CSF inhibits neutrophil migration and enhances the functional activity of the mature end-cells. The human and murine molecules are species-specific and exhibit no cross-species reactivity. Recombinant human GM-CSF is a 14.6 kDa globular protein consisting of 128 amino acids containing two intramolecular disulfide bonds and two potential N-linked glycosylation sites.
