Description:
Isolation of specific antibodies was accomplished by affinity chromatography using mouse IgM covalently linked to agarose beads. Based on ELISA and/or flow cytometry, this antibody reacts with the heavy chain of mouse IgM. This antibody was tested by Dot Blot and/or solid phase adsorbed for minimal cross-reactivity with mouse IgG1, IgG2a, IgG3, and IgA, pooled human sera and purified human paraproteins. The conjugate has been specifically tested and qualified for Western blot. The conjugate has been specifically tested and qualified for Western blot applications. The epitope of this MAb maps in the N-terminus of PTH, a hormone produced by the parathyroid gland that regulates the concentration of calcium and phosphorus in extracellular fluid. This hormone elevates blood Ca2 levels by dissolving the salts in bone and preventing their renal excretion.It is produced in the parathyroid gland as an 84 amino acid single chain polypeptide. It can also be secreted as N-terminal truncated fragments or C-terminal fragments after intracellular degradation, as in case of hypercalcemia. Defects in this gene are a cause of familial isolated hypoparathyroidism (FIH); also called autosomal dominant hypoparathyroidism or autosomal dominant hypocalcemia. FIH is characterized by hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia due to inadequate secretion of parathyroid hormone. Symptoms are seizures, tetany and cramps. FIH exist both as autosomal dominant and recessive forms of hypoparathyroidism.

SH3BP5(SH3 domain-binding protein 5) is also named as SAB. It is previously isolated in a screen for proteins capable of binding to the Src homology 3 (SH3) domain of Bruton's tyrosine kinase (Btk) and could play a role in targeting JNK and Btk to mitochondria and/or mediating cross-talk between the JNK and Btk signalling pathways. It has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing with the molecular mass of 50 kDa and 32 kDa. There are two bands of 83 kDa and 70 kDa can be detected in A431 and the larger species may correspond to splice variants of SH3BP5 or SH3BP5 proteins that have undergone post-translational modification. In addition, we detecte the band of 32 kDa as the isoform 2 of SH3BP5 and another band of 62 kDa besides the 47 kDa and 80 kDa.

CD80 is a member of the Ig superfamily and serves as the ligand for two T cell molecules, CD28 and CTLA4. Interactions between CD28 and CD80 on activated B cells result in enhanced T cell activation. CD80 is rapidly induced on the surface of in vitro activated B cells, Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) transformed B cell lines, Burkitts lymphoma cell lines, freshly isolated follicular B lymphoma cells, T cells, and monocytes. It is also expressed at high levels in dendritic cells. It reacts weakly with a small proportion of non activated normal B cells and with HTLV1 infected T cells. CD80 does not react with peripheral monocytes, resting and activated normal T cells, T cell lines and T cell clones, nor with myelomonocytic cell lines.

CD97, a CD55 Receptor, is a leukocyte antigen located on most activated leukocytes. CD97 is highly homologous to EMR2 with five EGF-like domains in the N-terminal extracellular domain, suggesting that it may be involved in cell signaling as well as in cell adhesion (Hamann et al., 1996). Two variants are produced by alternative splicing, where the shorter form lacks exons 5 and 6 and reduces the number of EGF-like domains from 5 to 3, compared to the full-length isoform. CD97 is associated with with the activated lesions of multiple sclerosis. CD97 expression is also implicated in the dedifferentiation of colon and thyroid tumors. CD97 is expressed abundantly in cells of hematopoietic origin and is markedly upregulated on activated T and B cells. ESTs have been isolated from a wide variety of tissue libraries.
