Description:
Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 4(TNFSF4/OX40L) is a single-pass type II membrane protein. OX40L is the ligand for CD134 and is expressed on such cells as DC2s enabling amplification of Th2 cell differentiation. It is a cytokine that binds to TNFRSF4, Co-stimulates T-cell proliferation and cytokine production. It has been found association with systemic lupus erythematosus, No association with occurrence of atherosclerosis.

Description:
Insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) is a growth factor that is produced by the liver. IGF-1 production is stimulated by growth hormone (GH). IGF-I binds the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) and the insulin receptor to stimulate systemic body growth. IGF-I is one of the most potent activators of the AKT signaling pathway, which stimulates cell proliferation and inhibits programmed cell death.

Description:
High mobility group 1 protein (HMGB1) is a chromatin component that is either passively released from necrotic cells or actively secreted in response to angiogenic and inflammatory signals. HMGB1 itself may signal through the receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE), and via the Toll-like receptors, TLR2 and TLR4. HMGB1 functions as a late mediator of immune response. Apoptotic cells also release HMGB1 but in an oxidized form that does not trigger the immune response.

Description:
This gene product belongs to the family of glutathione peroxidase, which functions in the detoxification of hydrogen peroxide. It contains a selenocysteine (Sec) residue at its active site. The selenocysteine is encoded by the UGA codon, which normally signals translation termination. The 3' UTR of Sec-containing genes have a common stem-loop structure, the sec insertion sequence (SECIS), which is necessary for the recognition of UGA as a Sec codon rather than as a stop signal. [provided by RefSeq].

Description:
Mediates the production of the second messenger molecules diacylglycerol (DAG) and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3). Plays an important role in the regulation of intracellular signaling cascades. Becomes activated in response to ligand-mediated activation of receptor-type tyrosine kinases, such as PDGFRA, PDGFRB, FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. Plays a role in actin reorganization and cell migration.

Description:
Neurofibromin is a product of the tumor suppressor gene, Neurofibromatosis type I. Neurofibromin is known to have GTPase activity that modulates the ras pathway. The absence of or alteration of the neurofibromin protein may lead to Neurofibromatosis disease. This protein has not been purified, therefore, most of the information regarding this protein has been deduced from homology analysis of its gene sequence.

Description:
Interferon alpha-6 (IFN- alpha6) is a secreted protein which belongs to the alpha/ beta interferon family. IFN- alpha6 is produced by macrophages, expressed at low level, only 1.0% of the average gene in this release. IFN- alpha6 contains interferon alpha, beta and delta domain. IFN- alpha has antiviral activities. Interferon stimulates the production of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.

Description:
High affinity receptor that binds to the Fc region of immunoglobulins epsilon. Aggregation of FCER1 by multivalent antigens is required for the full mast cell response, including the release of preformed mediators (such as histamine) by degranulation and de novo production of lipid mediators and cytokines. Also mediates the secretion of important lymphokines. Binding of allergen to receptor-bound IgE leads to cell activation and the release of mediators responsible for the manifestations of allergy.

Description:
FAM36A is a multi-pass membrane protein. It belongs to the FAM36 family. The exact function of FAM36A remains unknown.Chromosome 1 is the largest human chromosome spanning about 260 million base pairs and making up 8% of the human genome. There are about 3,000 genes on chromosome 1, and considering the great number of genes there are also a large number of diseases associated with chromosome 1. Notably, the rare aging disease Hutchinson-Gilford progeria is associated with the LMNA gene which encodes lamin A. When defective, the LMNA gene product can build up in the nucleus and cause characteristic nuclear blebs. The mechanism of rapidly enhanced aging is unclear and is a topic of continuing exploration. The MUTYH gene is located on chromosome 1 and is partially responsible for familial adenomatous polyposis. Stickler syndrome, Parkinsons, Gaucher disease and Usher syndrome are also associated with chromosome 1. A breakpoint has been identified in 1q which disrupts the DISC1 gene and is linked to schizophrenia. Aberrations in chromosome 1 are found in a variety of cancers including head and neck cancer, malignant melanoma and multiple myeloma. The FAM36A gene product has been provisionally designated FAM36A pending further characterization.

Description:
Transcription activator that binds DNA cooperatively with DP proteins through the E2 recognition site, 5'-TTTC[CG]CGC-3' found in the promoter region of a number of genes whose products are involved in cell cycle regulation or in DNA replication. The DRTF1/E2F complex functions in the control of cell-cycle progression from G1 to S phase. E2F1 binds preferentially RB1 in a cell-cycle dependent manner. It can mediate both cell proliferation and TP53/p53-dependent apoptosis.

EPA method 8330 is used to measure explosives residues in water and soil samples, using HPLC with UV detection. Target analytes are nitroaromatic and nitramine explosives and their degradation products. Obtaining pure, neat compounds for Method 8330 reference standards can be very difficult. To ensure the highest quality standards, Restek's Quality Control (QC) lab confirms the identity and purity of mixture components and solvents using one or more of the following techniques: GC-FID, HPLC, GC-ECD, GC-MS, LC-MS, refractive index, and melting point.
