Description:
Participates in antiviral signaling. Acts as a negative regulator of MAVS-mediated antiviral responses, through the inhibition of the virus-induced RLH (RIG-like helicase)-MAVS interaction (PubMed:18200010). Has no inhibitory function on NF-Kappa-B and type 1 interferon signaling pathways, but enhances NF-Kappa-B and JUN N-terminal kinase dependent signaling through the production of reactive oxygen species (PubMed:18219313).

Description:
Endostatin, a cleaved product of the C-terminal domain of collagen XVIII, is an endogenous angiogenesis inhibitor. It was originally found in conditioned media from a murine endothelial tumor cell line, hemangioendothelioma. Endostatin inhibits endothelial cell migration (in vivo and in vitro) and induces endothelial cell apoptosis. It inhibits tumor growth and impairs blood vessel maturation in wound healing. Endostatin has an important role in endothelial cell adhesion and cytoskeletal organization. Endostatin can be found in vessel walls (elastic fibers) and basement membranes.

Description:
IL-22 is a member of the IL-10 family of regulatory cytokines which includes IL-10, IL-19, IL-20, IL-22, IL-24 and IL-26. Members of this family share partial homology in their amino acid sequences, but they are dissimilar in their biological functions. Produced by T lymphocytes, IL-22 inhibits IL-4 production by Th2 cells, and induces acute phase reactants in the liver and pancreas. IL-22 signals through a receptor system consisting of IL-10R-β/CRF2-4 and IL-22R, both of which are members of the class II cytokine-receptor family. Recombinant human IL-22 is a 33.6 kDa non-disulfide-linked homodimeric protein containing of two 146 amino acid polypeptide chains.

Description:
GATA1 is a Cys2/Cys2 zinc finger DNA binding protein that is expressed primarily in erythroid, megakaryocytic, mast cells and eosinophilic cells. It belongs to the GATA family of transcription factors. GATA1 is a transcriptional activator which probably serves as a general switch factor for erythroid development. It binds to DNA sites with the consensus sequence [AT]GATA[AG] within regulatory regions of globin genes and of other genes expressed in erythroid cells. The protein also plays an important role in erythroid development by regulating the switch from fetal hemoglobin production to adult hemoglobin.

ACACA(Acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1, ACC), also named as ACAC, ACC1 and ACCA, belongs to the biotin containing enzyme family. It catalyzes the synthesis of malonyl-CoA, which is an intermediate substrate playing a pivotal role in the regulation of fatty acid metabolism and energy production. ACACA is involved in the biosynthesis of fatty acids, and malonyl-CoA produced is used as a building block to extend the chain length of fatty acids by fatty acid synthase (FAS). It has 4 isoforms produced by alternative promoter usage with the molecular weight between 260 kDa and 270 kDa.

Description:
CCDC117 is a 279 amino acid protein that is expressed as multiple alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene which maps to human chromosome 22. Chromosome 22 houses over 500 genes and is the second smallest human chromosome. Mutations in several of the genes that map to chromosome 22 are involved in the development of Phelan-McDermid syndrome, Neurofibromatosis type 2, autism and schizophrenia. Additionally, translocations between chromosomes 9 and 22 may lead to the formation of the Philadelphia chromosome and the subsequent production of the novel fusion protein Bcr-Abl, a potent cell proliferation activator found in several types of leukemias.

Description:
The product of this gene functions in the NF-kappaB signal transduction pathway. The encoded protein, and the similar and functionally redundant protein MAP3K7IP2/TAB2, forms a ternary complex with the protein kinase MAP3K7/TAK1 and either TRAF2 or TRAF6 in response to stimulation with the pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF or IL-1. Subsequent MAP3K7/TAK1 kinase activity triggers a signaling cascade leading to activation of the NF-kappaB transcription factor. The human genome contains a related pseudogene. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined.

Description:
The survival of motor neurons (SMN) genes are the disease genes of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a common motor neuron degenerative disease. The level of SMN protein correlates with phenotypic severity of SMA. SMA patients lack a functional SMN1 gene, but they possess an intact SMN2 gene, which though nearly identical to SMN1, is only partially functional, because a large majority of SMN2 transcripts lack exon 7, resulting in production of a truncated, less stable SMN protein. This antibody 60154-2-Ig can recognize human, mouse and rat SMN gene.

Description:
The principal function of the proteasome is targeted degradation of intracellular proteins. Activity of the 20S proteasome is controlled by regulatory complexes that bind to the ends of the cylindrical proteasome. 11S regulator (REG or PA28), is a complex of 28 kDa subunits that is thought to activate proteasomes toward the production of antigenic peptides. Human PSME1 and PSME2 genes encode the two proteasome activators PA28 alpha and beta, respectively, which have been implicated in antigen processing for loading class I MHC molecules. The PA28 activator complex enhances the generation of class I binding peptides by altering the cleavage pattern of the proteasome.

The ITGB3 (Integrin beta chain beta 3) protein product is the integrin beta chain beta 3. Integrins are integral cell-surface proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. A given chain may combine with multiple partners resulting in different integrins. Integrin beta 3 is found along with the alpha IIb chain in platelets. Integrins are known to participate in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signalling.

Description:
Regulates voltage-gated potassium channels assembled from KCNA1, KCNA4 and KCNAB1. It slows down channel inactivation by precluding channel closure mediated by the KCNAB1 subunit. Ligand for ADAM22 that positively regulates synaptic transmission mediated by AMPA-type glutamate receptors (By similarity). Plays a role in suppressing the production of MMP1/3 through the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/ERK pathway. May play a role in the control of neuroblastoma cell survival.
