PROX1, Prospero homeobox protein 1, belongs to the Prospero homeobox family and contain a Prospero-type homeobox DNA-binding domain. PROX1 plays a fundamental role in early development of CNS and regulated the expression of gene and development of postmitotic undifferentiated young neuron. Also PROX1 is a specific and required regulator of the development of the lymphatic system. This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against part of C-terminal chain of human PROX1.

Glycoprotein M6A (GPM6A, or M6A) is known as a multi-pass transmembrane protein and an abundant cell surface protein on neurons in the central nervous system (CNS). M6A belongs to the myelin proteolipid protein family and is involved in neuronal differentiation, including differentiation and migration of neuronal stem cell. M6A is identified as a retinal membrane protein that is strongly expressed at embryonic stages. In mouse adult retina, M6A plays a role in neuronal plasticity and is involved in neurite and filopodia outgrowth, filopodia motility and probably synapse formation via regulation of MAPK and Src signaling pathways.

Description:
The ELAV (embryonic lethal abnormal visual system) gene of D. Melanogaste is the the first identified member of a family of neuronal RNA binding proteins that is conserved in metazoans. The proteins in this family contain three RNA Recognition Motifs (RRM), with a hinge region separating the second and third RRMs and an optional non-conserved N-terminal region. The hinge includes signals essential for nuclear export and subcellular localization . Elav is expressed specifically in the neurons and is required for the correct development and maintenance of the nervous system. ELAVL2 can binds RNA, and recognize a GAAA motif. In addition, it can bind to its own 3'-UTR, the FOS 3'-UTR and the ID 3'-UTR.

HAP1 (Huntingtin-associated protein 1) was originally identified as neuronal protein that specifically associates with HTT/huntingtin and the binding is enhanced by an expanded polyglutamine repeat within HTT. HTT is expressed ubiquitously, while HAP1 is expressed predominantly in the central nervous system (CNS). Both HTT and HAP1 participate in intracellular trafficking. HAP1 is involved in the vesicular transport, gene transcription regulation, membrane receptor trafficking and other functions such as calcium release and protein aggregation .

Nestin, also named as NES and Nbla00170, is a class VI intermediate filament protein expressed in stem cells of the central nervous system (CNS) but not in mature CNS cells. Its expression is used extensively as a marker for neural lineage cells derived from human embryonic stem (hES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. Nestin is also expressed in non-neural stem cell populations such as pancreatic islet progenitors and hematopoietic progenitors.

DNM3 (dynamin 3) is a member of dynamin proteins that participate in membrane rearrangements such as vesicular trafficking and phaocytosis. Three dynamin proteins encoded by different genes are present in mammals: DNM1 is mainly expressed in central nervous system, DNM2 ubiquitously expressed, and DNM3 expressed chiefly in the testis and brain. Western blot using this antibody specifically detected the 100 kDa DNM3 in mouse brain. It doesn't cross-react with other DNMs. (22977254, 21671749)

PASP(pancreas-specific protein) is also named as CPB1, CPB, PCPB and belongs to the peptidase M14 family. This protein modulates the plasminogen system both in the matrix and on the cell surface, thus leading to the inhibition of endothelial cell movement and tube formation. It is initially described as a pancreatic metallocarboxypeptidase and is a marker for acute pancreatitis. The deduced 416-amino acid preproenzyme has a 15-amino acid signal peptide and a 95-amino acid activation peptide.

FABP7 (Fatty Acid Binding Protein-7), also known as B-FABP (Brain Fatty Acid-Binding Protein), is a member of FABP family which are intracellular proteins involved in lipid metabolism. Normally FABP7 is mainly expressed in brain and other neural tissues and is important in early nervous system development. In addition, FABP7 is considered a marker for some brain tumors and may have a role in tumorigenesis in the peripheral nervous system and in several extra nervous system neoplasms such as breast cancer, renal cancer, and melanoma. This antibody was raised against the full-length human FABP7 and may cross-react with other FABPs.

LYSMD3 also termed as LysM and putative peptidoglycan binding domain containing protein 3 is a 306 amino acid single-pass membrane protein that contains one LysM repeat. LysM domain encoding genes may play a role in brain and in nervous system development and functioning. LYSMD3, shows a high level of central nervous expression during embryogenesis and is also, therefore, a good candidate gene for other central nervous system (CNS) symptoms, such as psychomotor retardation, brain anomalies and muscular hypotonia of the 5q14.3 microdeletion syndrome.

Protocadherins, which constitute the largest subgroup within the cadherin superfamily, are predominantly expressed in the nervous system and are probably involved in the regulation of neuronal recognition and connectivity . The protocadherin subfamily can be further subdivided into three groups: the clustered protocadherins, comprising α-, β- and γ-protocadherins; δ-protocadherins; and others, many of which are solitary . PCDHA2 (protocadherin alpha 2) is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing 6 cadherin domains. It may be involved in the establishment and maintenance of specific neuronal connections in the brain.

PFTK1 is a Cdc2-related protein kinase, also named as PFTAIRE1, CDK14 and belongs to the CMGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family and CDC2/CDKX subfamily. It acts as a cyclin-dependent kinases that regulates cell cycle progression and cell proliferation. The PFTK1 protein shows high homology with mouse Pftaire1, a Cdc2-related protein expressed primarily in the postnatal and adult nervous system. The protein contains 2 predicted nuclear localization signals that the N-terminal nuclear localization signals do not play a role in vivo. It has 3 isoforms produced by alternative splicing. This antibody is specific to PFTK1.

Description:
This gene encodes Lutheran blood group glycoprotein, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and a receptor for the extracellular matrix protein, laminin. The protein contains five extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a single transmembrane domain, and a short C-terminal cytoplasmic tail. This protein may play a role in epithelial cell cancer and in vaso-occlusion of red blood cells in sickle cell disease. Polymorphisms in this gene define some of the antigens in the Lutheran system and also the Auberger system. Inactivating variants of this gene result in the recessive Lutheran null phenotype, Lu(a-b-), of the Lutheran blood group. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Cnot7, Ccr4-Not complex 7, is a component of CCR4-NOT complex and known to be a transcription factor and a modulator of mRNA degradation in yeast. Mammalian Cnot7 interacts with Tob and its family members, which is known as an inhibitor of BMP signaling through interfering with the Smad system and is involved in bone metabolism . It is one of at least 8 subunits that make up the CCR4-Not transcription complex, which is involved in negative regulation of the pol II directed transcription in yeast24 and may be involved in global gene regulation by modulation of TATAA-binding protein (TBP) activity .
