Description:
The central E region of fibrin contains two sets of polymerization knobs, A and B, that are cryptic in fibrinogen but become exposed after thrombin cleavage of fibrinopeptide A (FpA) and fibrinopeptide B (FpB) from the N-terminus of the Aα- and Bβ-chains, respectively. The location of the binding holes and possible models for knob-hole interactions are known from X-ray crystallographic studies using synthetic peptide analogs of knobs A and B. When fibrinogen fragment D and double-D are crystallized in the presence of both peptide analogs, the knob A peptide mimic H-Gly-Pro-Arg-Pro-NH₂ (GPRP-amide, H-1998) forms H-bond interactions with residues γ364Asp, γ330Asp, γ329Gln, and γ340His found in hole a. In the same manner, the knob B peptide mimic H-Gly-His-Arg-Pro-NH₂ (GHRP-amide, H-7318) interacts with residues Bβ397Glu, Bβ398Asp, and Bβ432Asp in hole b.

Description:
AKT3 Western Bloting kit allows for the detection of endogenous protein levels of human AKT3 present in cell lysates provided by the user. As a positive control, this kit includes a MDA-MB468 whole cell lysate proven to contain AKT3. After protein separation by SDS-PAGE and transfer, the membrane is probed with Rockland's optimized Anti-AKT3 antibody. Detection of the membrane bound antibody-antigen complex is achieved by the addition of a secondary antibody conjugated to the enzyme horseradish peroxidase. The enzyme reacts with a specialized formulation of luminol, an extremely sensitive, non-radioactive substrate that emits light and allows visualization using X-ray film or other imaging methods, including highly sensitive CCD cameras and imaging systems. AKT3 Western Bloting is ideal for investigators involved in Cell Signaling, Cancer, Neuroscience and Signal Transduction research.

Interleukin 3 (IL-3) is a cytokine that is produced by activated T cells and mast cells. IL-3 induces the differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells into myeloid precursor cells, such as erythrocyte, megakaryocyte, granulocyte, monocyte, and dendritic cells. IL-3 also functions in the nervous system and is important during the B-1 cell regulation of chronic inflammatory diseases.

Description:
Noxa Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. The p53 tumor-suppressor protein induces apoptosis through transcriptional activation of several genes including p53R2, p53AIP1, and PUMA. A new p53 target gene, Noxa, was recently identified, which encodes a protein belonging to the subfamily of BH3-only proapoptic proteins. Noxa and PUMA are both transcriptional targets of p53 and BH3-only proteins. X-ray irradiation increased p53-dependent Noxa mRNA and protein levels. Noxa, when ectopically expressed, interacted with anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members, resulting in the activation of caspase-9. Noxa, like PUMA, localized to mitochondria and induces apoptosis in response to p53. Noxa and PUMA may represent direct mediators of p53-induced apoptosis. Increased levels of p53 and its target gene Noxa was found in the impaired tumor development.

Description:
Involved in DNA non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) required for double-strand break repair and V(D)J recombination. Binds to DNA and to DNA ligase IV (LIG4). The LIG4-XRCC4 complex is responsible for the NHEJ ligation step, and XRCC4 enhances the joining activity of LIG4. Binding of the LIG4-XRCC4 complex to DNA ends is dependent on the assembly of the DNA-dependent protein kinase complex DNA-PK to these DNA ends.

Interleukin 22 (IL-22), also called IL-TIF, is an IL-10 family member that is produced by activated dendritic cells and T lymphocytes. IL-22 signals via a heteroduplex receptor consisting of IL-22R and IL-10Rbeta chains. IL-22 is a potent mediator of cellular inflammatory responses.
