Egr2 belongs to the Egr family that binds to DNA through highly conserved zinc finger domains and has a pivotal role in hindbrain development and myelination of the peripheral nervous system, development of T and/or B cells . It has been demonstrated that Egr2 is induced early upon TCR engagement in a NFAT-dependent manner, and that overexpression of Egr2 inhibits T cell activation. Overexpressing Egr2 shows an upregulation of E3-ligase Cbl-band reduced production of interleukin-2 (IL-2), suggesting that Egr2 is important for the maintenance of T cell tolerance by negatively regulating T cell activation.

Albumin Antibody: Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein which comprises about one-half of the blood serum protein. It functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones and plays a role in stabilizing extracellular fluid volume. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin which has an N-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The resulting product, proalbumin, is in turn cleaved in the Golgi vesicles to produce the secreted albumin. At least two isoforms of Albumin are known to exist.
