The RING-type zinc finger motif is present in a number of viral and eukaryotic proteins and is made of a conserved cysteine-rich domain that is able to bind two zinc atoms. Proteins that contain this conserved domain are generally involved in the ubiquitination pathway of protein degradation. TRAC-1 (T-cell RING activation protein 1), also known as RNF125 (ring finger protein 125) or E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RNF125, is a 232 amino acid novel E3 ubiquitin ligase that functions as a positive regulator in the T-cell receptor signaling pathway. Expressed predominantly in lymphoid tissues such as spleen, thymus and bone marrow, TRAC-1 has been found to inhibit pathogen-induced cytokine production and down-regulates HIV replication.

STK31 (Serine/threonine protein kinase 31) is similar to a mouse gene that encodes a putative protein kinase with a tudor domain, and shows testis specific expression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Protein kinases are enzymes that transfer a phosphate group from a phosphate donor, generally the g phosphate of ATP, onto an acceptor amino acid in a substrate protein. By this basic mechanism, protein kinases mediate most of the signal transduction in eukaryotic cells, regulating cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement and cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation. With more than 500 gene products, the protein kinase family is one of the largest families of proteins in eukaryotes.

NIK Antibody: Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kappa B) is a ubiquitous transcription factor and an essential mediator of gene expression during activation of immune and inflammatory responses. NF-kappa B mediates the expression of a great variety of genes in response to extracellular stimuli including IL-1, TNFalpha , LPS and mitogens. A serine/threonine protein kinase which mediates NF-kappa B activation by IL-1, TNFalpha and CD95 was identified recently and designated NIK (for NF-kappa B inducing kinase). NIK is an activator of Ikappa B kinase alpha and beta (IKKalpha and IKKbeta ;). Therefore, NIK is a key molecule in the NF-kappa B signaling pathway leading to the induction of a variety of gene expression in response to proinflammatory cytokines and bacteria products.

The mammalian enzyme is synthesized as a dehydrogenase (XDH), which uses NAD as the electron acceptor, but it can be converted into an oxidase (XO) both in vivo and in vitro.This gene encodes a protein of 150 kDa and the 150 kDa polypeptide can be processed into a fragment of 130 kDa and further to 85 kDa by spontaneous proteolytic cleavage. In addition, the full length polypeptide can be also partially processed into a 87 kDa and 59 kDa fragments. It also can exsit as a homodimer. This antibody is specific to XDH.

THOC7 is a member of the THO complex that associate with the mRNA export apparatus. It is required for efficient export of polyadenylated RNA. It acts as component of the THO subcomplex of the TREX complex which is thought to couple mRNA transcription, processing and nuclear export, and which specifically associates with spliced mRNA and not with unspliced pre-mRNA. TREX is recruited to spliced mRNAs by a transcription-independent mechanism, binds to mRNA upstream of the exon-junction complex (EJC) and is recruited in a splicing- and cap-dependent manner to a region near the 5' end of the mRNA where it functions in mRNA export to the cytoplasm via the TAP/NFX1 pathway. AJs are necessary for the creation and maintenance of epithelial cell layers by regulating cell growth and adhesion between cells. The encoded protein also anchors the actin cytoskeleton and may be responsible for transmitting the contact inhibition signal that causes cells to stop dividing once the epithelial sheet is complete. Finally, this protein binds to the product of the APC gene, which is mutated in adenomatous polyposis of the colon. Mutations in this gene are a cause of colorectal cancer (CRC), pilomatrixoma (PTR), medulloblastoma (MDB), and ovarian cancer.
