Description:
The FR70 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to mouse CD70, a 30-33 kDA type II transmembrane protein and member of the TNF superfamily. CD70 is the ligand for CD27 and is expressed on dendritic cells, activated B cell, and a subset of activated T cells at lower levels. Its main role is in regulating B cell activation and immunoglobulin synthesis. CD70 expressing cells are able to co-stimulate T cell proliferation and upregulate cytokine production. The FR70 antibody is reported to block the binding of CD70 to CD27.

Description:
FAIM1 (or Fas Apoptotic Inhibitory Molecule 1) is a recently discovered negative regulator of apoptosis. FAIM1 has no significant regions of homology to other gene products that modulate Fas killing. It plays a role as an inducible effector molecule that mediates Fas resistance produced by surface Ig engagement in B cells. Overexpression of FAIM1 diminishes sensitivity to Fas mediated apoptosis of B and non B cell lines. FAIM1 is highly evolutionarily conserved and is widely expressed in murine tissues, suggesting that FAIM1 plays an important role in cellular physiology.

Upon sensing unfolded proteins, an ER transmembrane endonuclease and kinase termed IRE1p is activated and excises an intron from XBP-1 mRNA. The spliced XBP-1 mRNA results in a 371 amino acid protein (XBP-1s) which is then translocated to the nucleus where it binds to the regulatory elements of downstream genes.
