Supplier:  Biosensis
Description:   FUNCTION: Required for autophagy. SUBUNIT: Conjugated to ATG5. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm. ALTERNATIVE PRODUCTS: 2 named isoforms produced by alternative splicing. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Ubiquitous. SIMILARITY: Belongs to the ATG12 family.
Catalog Number: (89157-044)

Supplier:  Enzo Life Sciences
Description:   Cell-permeable, phosphodiesterase-resistant cGMP antagonist. Reversed NO stimulation of random migration in rabbit neutrophils. Used at 30µM to cometively inhibit 8-Br-cGMP relaxation of rabbit aortas. The product is not sterile. Resistant to nucleotide-dependent phosphodiesterases; no metabolic side effects. Significantly more lipophilic and membrane permeant as compared to cyclic GMP or Rp-cGMPS.
Supplier:  BURKLE INC
Description:   These disposable spoons are manufactured from bio-plastic "Green PE" which is entirely made of renewable resources

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Mutations in this gene lead to tuberous sclerosis complex. Its gene product is believed to be a tumor suppressor and is able to stimulate specific GTPases. The protein associates with hamartin in a cytosolic complex, possibly acting as a chaperone for hamartin. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq].

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   This gene encodes a membrane-bound adenylate cyclase that catalyses the formation of cyclic AMP from ATP and is inhibitable by calcium. The product of this gene is a member of the adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase enzyme family that is characterized by the presence of twelve membrane-spanning domains in its sequences. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Angiotensinogen protein encoded by this gene, pre-angiotensinogen or angiotensinogen precursor, is expressed in the liver and is cleaved by the enzyme renin in response to lowered blood pressure. The resulting product, angiotensin I is then cleaved by angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) to generate the physiologically active enzyme angiotensin II. The protein is involved in maintaining blood pressure and in the pathogenesis of essential hypertension and preeclampsia.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Has a role in maintaining calcium homeostasis. Catalyzes the NADPH-dependent 24-hydroxylation of calcidiol (25-hydroxyvitamin D(3)) and calcitriol (1-alpha,25-dihydroxyvitamin D(3)). The enzyme can perform up to 6 rounds of hydroxylation of calcitriol leading to calcitroic acid. It also shows 23-hydroxylating activity leading to 1-alpha,25-dihydroxyvitamin D(3)-26,23-lactone as end product.
Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Chromosome 9 consists of about 145 million bases and 4% of the human genome and encodes nearly 900 genes. Considered to play a role in gender determination, deletion of the distal portion of 9p can lead to development of male to female sex reversal, the phenotype of a female with a male X,Y genotype. Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, which is characterized by harmful vascular defects, is associated with the chromosome 9 gene encoding endoglin protein, ENG. Familial dysautonomia is also associated with chromosome 9 though through the gene IKBKAP. Notably, chromosome 9 encompasses the largest interferon family gene cluster. Chromosome 9 is partnered with chromosome 22 in the translocation leading to the aberrant production of BCR-ABL fusion protein often found in leukemias. The C9orf93 gene product has been provisionally designated C9orf93 pending further characterization. There are two isoforms of C9orf93 that are produced as a result of alternative splicing events.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   T cell activation by APCs is positively and negatively regulated by members of the B7 family. VSIG4 is a strong negative regulator of murine and human T cell proliferation and IL-2 production.
Supplier:  Bachem Americas
Description:   For Boc-dipeptides Boc-Xaa-Gly-OH and Boc-Xaa-Pro-OH, which can be used as building blocks during Boc-SPPS, please see the product family 'Boc-Dipeptide Building Blocks' in the 'Amino Acid Derivatives' section. This family also includes short protected peptide fragments suitable for solution synthesis and preparation of enzyme substrates and inhibitors.

Supplier:  Diagnostic Biosystems
Description:   This antibody stains with ORF-73 of human herpesvirus 8 (HHV8). HHV8 is the likely etiological agent of Kaposi sarcoma (KS). HHV8 encodes a latent nuclear antigen (LNA), which is the product of the viral gene ORF 73. LNA is capable of forming a complex with retinoblastoma susceptibility gene product, which may be related to its oncogenic activity.

Description:   For wildlife forensic biology and specimen collection

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Proto-oncogene AF-4 (or FEL) is a product of a chromosomal aberration of the human gene AFF1, which is associated with acute leukemias. The fusion of AF-4 on chromosome band 4q21 with the mixed lineage leukemia (MLL or HRX) gene on 11q23 results in a MLL-AF-4 chimeric transcription factor in which AF-4 contributes transcriptional effector properties and requires cell-specific accessory factors. MLL is involved in several chromosomal translocations associated with acute myeloid and lymphoid leukemia. The MLL-AF-4 fusion protein is expressed in all normal hematopoietic cells. The expression of MLL-AF-4 influences the production of protein cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor (CDKN1B), suggesting that inhibition of MLL-AF-4 expression may be a powerful and highly specific treatment of chemotherapy-resistant leukemia.
