Catalog Number: (89155-196)

Supplier:  Enzo Life Sciences
Description:   High mobility group 1 protein (HMGB1) is a chromatin component that is either passively released from necrotic cells or actively secreted in response to angiogenic and inflammatory signals. HMGB1 itself may signal through the receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE), and via the Toll-like receptors, TLR2 and TLR4. HMGB1 functions as a late mediator of immune response. Apoptotic cells also release HMGB1 but in an oxidized form that does not trigger the immune response.
Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   This gene product belongs to the family of glutathione peroxidase, which functions in the detoxification of hydrogen peroxide. It contains a selenocysteine (Sec) residue at its active site. The selenocysteine is encoded by the UGA codon, which normally signals translation termination. The 3' UTR of Sec-containing genes have a common stem-loop structure, the sec insertion sequence (SECIS), which is necessary for the recognition of UGA as a Sec codon rather than as a stop signal. [provided by RefSeq].

Supplier:  Restek
Description:   Acid mixture is packaged in methanol at a concentration of 2000 µg/mL in a 1 mL ampoule.
MSDS SDS
Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Mediates the production of the second messenger molecules diacylglycerol (DAG) and inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3). Plays an important role in the regulation of intracellular signaling cascades. Becomes activated in response to ligand-mediated activation of receptor-type tyrosine kinases, such as PDGFRA, PDGFRB, FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. Plays a role in actin reorganization and cell migration.
Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Neurofibromin is a product of the tumor suppressor gene, Neurofibromatosis type I. Neurofibromin is known to have GTPase activity that modulates the ras pathway. The absence of or alteration of the neurofibromin protein may lead to Neurofibromatosis disease. This protein has not been purified, therefore, most of the information regarding this protein has been deduced from homology analysis of its gene sequence.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   Interleukin 6 receptor (IL-6R; CD126) is a type I cytokine receptor, which is a protein complex consisting of an IL-6 receptor subunit (IL-6R) and interleukin 6 signal transducer glycoprotein 130 (gp130). It is a potent pleiotropic cytokine that regulates cell growth and differentiation and plays an important role in immune response. Dysregulated production of IL-6 and IL-6R are implicated in the pathogenesis of many diseases, such as multiple myeloma, autoimmune diseases and prostate cancer.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   Interferon alpha-6 (IFN- alpha6) is a secreted protein which belongs to the alpha/ beta interferon family. IFN- alpha6 is produced by macrophages, expressed at low level, only 1.0% of the average gene in this release. IFN- alpha6 contains interferon alpha, beta and delta domain. IFN- alpha has antiviral activities. Interferon stimulates the production of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.
Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   This product is prepared by labeling F(ab’)2 fragment of goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) with R-phycoerythrin (R-PE). R-PE belongs to the family of phycobiliproteins, which are derived from cyanobacteria and eukaryotic algae. R-PE has absorption maxima at 496, 546, and 565 nm respectively, and emission at 578 nm. Because of the high extinction coefficient (~1,960,000) and high fluorescence quantum yield (~0.82), R-PE is by far the brightest dye for the 565 nm wavelength region.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Catalyzes the formation of 25-hydroxycholesterol from cholesterol, leading to repress cholesterol biosynthetic enzymes. May play an important role in regulating lipid metabolism by synthesizing a corepressor that blocks sterol regulatory element binding protein (SREBP) processing. In testis, production of 25-hydroxycholesterol by macrophages may play a role in Leydig cell differentiation.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   High affinity receptor that binds to the Fc region of immunoglobulins epsilon. Aggregation of FCER1 by multivalent antigens is required for the full mast cell response, including the release of preformed mediators (such as histamine) by degranulation and de novo production of lipid mediators and cytokines. Also mediates the secretion of important lymphokines. Binding of allergen to receptor-bound IgE leads to cell activation and the release of mediators responsible for the manifestations of allergy.
Supplier:  BIOGEMS INTERNATIONAL INC.
Description:   The Sa2-8 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD14, a cell surface anchored glycoprotein that is primarily expressed on macrophages and is secreted in certain conditions. CD14 associates with LPS and LBP to form a receptor complex, which signals specifically in response to bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) binding. The Sa2-8 antibody exhibits a weak antagonistic activate in relation to TNF alpha production and NF-kappa B activation.
Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   This MAb recognizes extracellular epitope 2 within the N-terminal Ig domain of human CD147. It is expressed more intensely on thymocytes than on mature peripheral blood T cells. CD147 is important in spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, neural network formation, and tumor progression. It stimulates the production of interstitial collagenase, gelatinase A, stromelysin-1 and various metalloproteinases (MMPs) by fibroblasts. These enzymes are important factors in cancer invasion and metastasis.

Supplier:  Remco Products
Description:   This two-piece stainless steel flexible handle is used with a tube brush for flexible cleaning into curved pipes.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Transcription activator that binds DNA cooperatively with DP proteins through the E2 recognition site, 5'-TTTC[CG]CGC-3' found in the promoter region of a number of genes whose products are involved in cell cycle regulation or in DNA replication. The DRTF1/E2F complex functions in the control of cell-cycle progression from G1 to S phase. E2F1 binds preferentially RB1 in a cell-cycle dependent manner. It can mediate both cell proliferation and TP53/p53-dependent apoptosis.
Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Encoding over 1,100 genes within 132 million bases, chromosome 12 makes up about 4.5% of the human genome. A number of skeletal deformities are linked to chromosome 12 including hypochondrogenesis, achondrogenesis and Kniest dysplasia. Noonan syndrome, which includes heart and facial developmental defects among the primary symptoms, is caused by a mutant form of PTPN11 gene product, SH-PTP2. Chromosome 12 is also home to a homeobox gene cluster which encodes crucial transcription factors for morphogenesis, and the natural killer complex gene cluster encoding C-type lectin proteins which mediate the NK cell response to MHC I interaction. Trisomy 12p leads to facial development defects, seizure disorders and a host of other symptoms varying in severity depending on the extent of mosaicism and is most severe in cases of complete trisomy. The FAM101A gene product has been provisionally designated FAM101A pending further characterization.
Supplier:  Bel-Art Products
Description:   These graduated beakers and pitchers feature flared rims and spouts for quick, easy pouring when large volumes are handled.
