Description:
This protein tyrosine kinase transmembrane receptor is the receptor for colony stimulating factor 1, a cytokine which controls the production, differentiation, and function of macrophages. This receptor mediates most if not all of the biological effects of this cytokine. Ligand binding activates the receptor kinase through a process of oligomerization and transphosphorylation. The encoded protein is a member of the CSF1/PDGF receptor family of tyrosine protein kinases and contains 5 immunoglobulin like C2 type domains. CD115 is expressed by cells of the monocytic lineage and by progenitor cells. Mutations in this gene have been associated with a predisposition to myeloid malignancy.

Description:
This MAb reacts with a 58 kDa protein identified as vimentin. It shows no cross-reaction with other closely related intermediate filament proteins (IFP's) such as desmin, keratin, neurofilament, and glial fibrillary acid protein.Anti-vimentin alone is of limited value as a diagnostic tool; however, when used in panels with other antibodies, it is useful for the sub-classification of a given tumor. Expression of vimentin, when used in conjunction with anti-keratin, is helpful when distinguishing melanomas from undifferentiated carcinomas and large cell lymphomas. All melanomas and Schwannomas react strongly with anti-vimentin. It labels a variety of mesenchymal cells, including melanocytes, lymphocytes, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts. Non-reactivity of anti-vimentin is often considered more useful than its positive reactivity, since there are a few tumors that do not contain vimentin, e.g. hepatoma and seminoma. Anti-vimentin is also useful as a tissue process control reagent.
CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®594 is a deep red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 593/614 nm). It yields the brightest conjugates among spectrally similar dyes, and has excellent photostability.

Description:
IL-22 is a member of the IL-10 family of regulatory cytokines which includes IL-10, IL-19, IL-20, IL-22, IL-24 and IL-26. Members of this family share partial homology in their amino acid sequences, but they are dissimilar in their biological functions. Produced by T lymphocytes, IL-22 inhibits IL-4 production by Th2 cells, and induces acute phase reactants in the liver and pancreas. IL-22 signals through a receptor system consisting of IL-10R-beta/CRF2-4 and IL-22R, both of which are members of the class II cytokine-receptor family. Recombinant murine IL-22 is a 33.4 kDa non-disulfide-linked homodimeric protein containing of two 146 amino acid polypeptide chains.

Description:
Orai2 is a 254 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the orai family of proteins. Localizing to the plasma membrane, Orai2 plays an important role in store-operated calcium (SOC) entry, a process involving Ca2+ influx and replenishment of Ca2+ stores formerly emptied through the action of inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate production and other Ca2+ mobilizing agents. CRAC channels are responsible for medi-ating calcium influx in T-cells and play an important role in the immune response. Orai2 specifically increases the Ca2+-selective current through coaction with the Ca2+ sensor Stim1.

Description:
GATA1 is a Cys2/Cys2 zinc finger DNA binding protein that is expressed primarily in erythroid, megakaryocytic, mast cells and eosinophilic cells. It belongs to the GATA family of transcription factors. GATA1 is a transcriptional activator which probably serves as a general switch factor for erythroid development. It binds to DNA sites with the consensus sequence [AT]GATA[AG] within regulatory regions of globin genes and of other genes expressed in erythroid cells. The protein also plays an important role in erythroid development by regulating the switch from fetal hemoglobin production to adult hemoglobin.

Description:
The product of this gene is a member of the nuclearfactors of activated T cells DNA-binding transcription complex. This complex consists of at least two components: a preexistingcytosolic component that translocates to the nucleus upon T cellreceptor (TCR) stimulation and an inducible nuclear component.Other members of this family of nuclear factors of activated Tcells also participate in the formation of this complex. Theproduct of this gene plays a role in the inducible expression ofcytokine genes in T cells, especially in the induction of the IL-2and IL-4. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encodingdifferent isoforms have been noted for this gene. [provided byRefSeq, Oct 2008].

Description:
Thymidine kinase (TK) belongs to a group of enzymes such as dihydrofolate reductase, thymidylate synthase, and DNA polymerase that are involved in DNA synthesis and precursor production. High levels of these enzymes are present in proliferating cells, and low levels are found in resting cells, due to multiple regulatory mechanisms that ensure exclusive expression of these enzymes in replicating cells. TK is responsible for catalyzing the phosphorylation of thymidine, which functions as a part of the pyrimidine salvage pathway involved in DNA synthesis. The activities of enzymes such as TK are essential for the activation of several chemotherapeutically important nucleoside analogues that are administered as prodrugs.
